Internet Resources

Hi class, I promised a list of Internet resources and here they are, along with a simple description of what the resources is. Some of these we already talked about!


  • edmodo.com: Facebook like site for communicating information and sharing
  • schoology.com: like Edmodo
  • socrative.com: great site for creating student quizzes 
  • twitter: social media information site
  • pinterest: picture sharing
  • tumblr: picture sharing
  • remind101: useful in sending mass messages to groups of people (so they don't have your phone number)
  • kahoot: fun quiz generator with score board
  • plickers: fun survey tool (need to print cards for you to scan during the class)
  • prezi.com: online media presentation software
  • quizlet: flash card and quiz generator
  • popplet: online brainstorming 
  • piktochart.com: info graphic generator
  • easybib.com: creates bibliographies for reports/essays
  • scholar.google (Google scholar): search engine only for scholarly materials
  • dropbox.com: online storage site
  • wordpress.com: more sophisticated blog generator (than this site)
  • animoto.com: for creating short videos
  • engrade.com: for storing student grades
  • weebly.com: website creator
  • khan academy: online education
  • bitstrips: for creating comics
  • toondoo.com: for creating comics
